stage lights went out at the Saloun in Georgetown for the last time on
Saturday, October 15, 2011. The Unforgiven performed its final gig
at the Saloun on Thursday, October 13th. The Unforgiven band performed
at the Saloun every Thursday night since 2003 and during the last few months,
on Tuesday nights as well. The Saloun was the last of the casual
shot and beer joints in Georgetown that offered entertainment every night.
The Saloun had been an institution on M Street for over 20 years.
We want to thank the owner, Mike Afshar, and his family for the gracious treatment, love and friendship they have shown to the Unforgiven. We would also like to thank all of the Saloun support staff and the fans who have been our regular audience over the years. Without the support of all of you, we would not be one of the most popular rock bands in the DC area.
